How we handle fire debris removal
1We ask what you want to keep
Wait for the fire department to say the building is safe to enter. We're on site in under an hour, and we walk the rooms with you.
Tell us what you want kept: the box of photos, the desk, the papers in the hall closet.
2We save what can be saved
A table under fallen drywall or clothes in a sooty closet can look like a loss and still clean up. We pack out what can be saved, clean it and store it until the rebuild is done.
3We take the debris out
What burned goes, and so does what the hoses soaked past saving: charred cabinets, wet insulation, fallen ceiling, melted flooring. We take it out room by room, after we photograph and list it. If that leaves the roof or an outside wall open, we board it up and tarp it.
4We clean, then handle the rebuild
Structure cleaning and smoke and soot cleanup start once the rooms are clear. Then we handle the rebuild, and your belongings come back at the end.

“We suffered a small fire in our house alittle over a week ago, Watchtower came to the house and talked to us about repair. The person that came out Michael Sullivan ( Sully) was not pressuring us and explained every step. What really sold me was that Sully kept in contact with us and didn't pressure us into signing an agreement. Josh was more than helpful and also made the ordeal bearable. Sully is truly an asset to the company. Since this a work in progress there will be more to follow at a later time”

Why owners call us for fire debris removal
We answer the phone 24/7
Someone answers our phone 24/7. After a fire, wait until the fire department says the building is safe, then call us for the estimate. It is free, with no obligation.
IICRC certified technicians sort what can be saved
A burned shelf can sit next to papers that need cleaning and nothing more. You make that call with one of our IICRC certified technicians, room by room, and what can be saved is packed out, cleaned and stored.
We photograph and list each room
Once debris leaves, nobody can count it. Our photos and itemized scope record what was in each room first, with the cabinets, the flooring and the drywall each on a line, and we share that record with your insurance company. We work with all insurance companies.
We handle the rebuild once debris is out
What comes out decides what goes back in, and no one can scope a rebuild for framing they cannot see. Once the debris is gone, the framing is in front of us and we handle the rebuild on the same scope.
A free estimate lists what comes out
Debris removal is the one step that cannot be undone, so you see the list of what goes before anything leaves. The estimate is free, and it commits you to nothing.

Fire debris removal across two Texas metros
Around the state capital, we handle fire debris removal for homes and businesses across Travis, Williamson and Hays counties: Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Leander, Hutto, Kyle, Buda and San Marcos. Grass and Ashe juniper, known here as cedar, can carry fire to a house from the outside, so debris may start at an outer wall.
Near the Gulf Coast, we handle fire debris removal across Harris County and in Katy, The Woodlands and Galveston.

Questions about removing debris after a fire
Plain answers about the work, the estimate and your insurance.
Can I start throwing out burned things before you come?
Not yet, if you can help it, and photograph anything you do move. Your adjuster may want to see what burned before it is gone. And some of what looks ruined can be cleaned.
What can be saved after a house fire?
Often more than it looks like at first. Flames ruin what they touch, but smoke and hose water reach further, and much of what they reach can be cleaned: dishes, tools, solid wood furniture, clothes from a closed closet. What burned through or melted is debris.
Why does debris removal come before the cleaning and the rebuild?
Because cleaning done around burned material does not last. Char keeps shedding soot and holding smoke odor, and wet debris keeps the floor under it wet. With it gone, the cleaning can reach the framing and the subfloor.
The room did not burn, but the hoses soaked it. Is that debris too?
Some of it. Drywall, insulation and carpet pad that took on hose water tend to come out with the burned material. Framing and solid wood can often be dried instead, and moisture readings tell the two apart. That part is water damage restoration, on the same scope.
Does insurance pay for fire debris removal?
Often it is part of a fire claim, and many policies list debris removal as an item of its own. We talk with your insurance company and share the record we made before the debris left. Your insurance company decides what your policy covers.
