How we handle storm damage restoration
1We photograph, board up and tarp the opening
A tarp hides the damage under it, so the photos come first. Then we board up any broken window or door and tarp the open part of the roof. Damaging hail here comes in spring, and whatever it opens takes in every rain that follows.
2We trace the rain with moisture readings
Rain that gets in at the top does not stop in the attic. It soaks the insulation, runs along the framing and can show up as a ceiling stain a room away, so we trace it with moisture readings and build the itemized scope from what they show.
3We take out the water and the wet material
Standing water comes out by water extraction. Soaked insulation and sagging ceiling drywall often have to come down, because wet insulation holds water against whatever it touches.
4We dry the structure, then handle the rebuild inside
Moisture readings tell us when the framing and the subfloor are dry. Only then does the rebuild of the ceilings, walls and floors start, so new drywall does not close over wet wood.

“We suffered a small fire in our house alittle over a week ago, Watchtower came to the house and talked to us about repair. The person that came out Michael Sullivan ( Sully) was not pressuring us and explained every step. What really sold me was that Sully kept in contact with us and didn't pressure us into signing an agreement. Josh was more than helpful and also made the ordeal bearable. Sully is truly an asset to the company. Since this a work in progress there will be more to follow at a later time”
We Work With All Insurance Companies
Texas policies often carry a separate deductible for wind and hail damage. We photograph the opening before the tarp goes on and trace the rain inside with moisture readings.
- We bill your insurance directly when your coverage allows

Why owners call us for storm damage restoration
We board up and dry out too
We board up and tarp a damaged home or business, then take care of the water damage inside. One itemized scope covers both, so you are not lining up separate companies for the hole and the wet rooms.
IICRC certified technicians dry the wet rooms
Our IICRC certified technicians dry the wet insulation, ceilings, walls and floors under the opening. Moisture readings show where the water went that you cannot see.
We handle the rebuild of the rooms
We do not repair roofs, so a roofing company handles the roof itself. We handle the wet insulation, ceilings, walls and floors under it, and the rebuild of those rooms.
We work with all insurance companies
We talk with your insurance company and share the photos and moisture readings that show whether you had wind-driven rain or ground water. We can help with your insurance questions.
We pack out and store your belongings
A leak lands on whatever is under it. We pack out what was in those rooms, clean and store it during the work, and bring it back when the rooms are ready.

Common questions about storm damage restoration
Plain answers about the work, the estimate and your insurance.
Can the tarp go on before my adjuster has seen the damage?
Yes. A tarp is a temporary cover, and many policies ask the owner to keep a loss from getting worse. The photos we take before the tarp goes on are there for your adjuster. Your insurance company decides what your policy covers.
Rain blew in around a window and the wall is wet. Is that storm damage?
It can be. Wind can push rain past a window frame or under a door that keeps out an ordinary shower. The wall below can be wet inside while the paint looks fine, and a moisture reading there settles it.
Hail hit the roof but nothing is leaking. Do I need you?
You may not. If no water got in, the roof is a roofing company's job and there may be nothing for us to do. A stain, a drip or damp insulation means water did get in, and a free estimate shows how far. Stay out from under a ceiling that sags.
Pipes froze and burst in a winter storm. Is that storm damage too?
Yes, and the work is the same. In the 2021 winter storm, pipes froze and burst across both metros, and that water soaked floors and ceilings as rain through a roof does. We are not plumbers, so the pipe goes to that trade.
What does my insurance company get from you after a storm?
One record: photos of the opening, moisture readings and the itemized scope. We talk with your insurance company and share that record, and we explain ACV, RCV and depreciation in plain English or in Spanish.
