How we handle water extraction
1We map the wet area before anything moves
We start at the edge of the puddle and take moisture readings outward until they come back dry. The wet area is often wider than the puddle, so the map comes first.
2We take the standing water off the floor
Water that sits keeps moving: along the subfloor, under the baseboards and into the bottom of the drywall. We take the water you can see off the floor first.
3We check the pad under the carpet
A carpet can feel damp on top while the pad under it is full. The pad holds water like a sponge, so it often comes out while the carpet can stay.
4We look under pier-and-beam floors
Many older houses in the capital's central neighborhoods stand on pier and beam, with a crawl space under the floor. Water that drops through the boards stands there out of sight, so we look.
5We dry each room
Extraction ends when no standing water is left. The rest dries with air movers and dehumidifiers, and our moisture readings show when each room is dry.

Why owners call us for water extraction
IICRC certified technicians take the water out
Our IICRC certified technicians take the standing water off the floor, check the pad under the carpet and look under pier-and-beam floors. Moisture readings then tell us when each room is dry.
We handle the rebuild too
If a floor, pad or section of drywall has to come out, we handle the rebuild of it. You keep one company for the whole job, from the standing water to the finished room.
We work with all insurance companies
We talk with whoever insures your home or business and share our photos, moisture readings and itemized scope. We can help with your insurance questions. Your policy decides what is covered, and that call belongs to your insurance company.
We speak English and Spanish
You can talk to us in English or in Spanish. Ask about the water, the work or the insurance paperwork, and you get an answer in plain words.
A free estimate shows what stays
Some of what got wet can stay. The free estimate lists what we dry in place and what comes out, room by room, and you read it before you agree to any work.

“I had a water damage issue at my home and couldn't be happier with the service provided by Watchtower. Their team was professional, punctual, and very attentive throughout the entire water damage restoration process. They did an excellent job, kept everything clean and organized, and made a stressful situation much easier to deal with.”

Water extraction across two Texas metros
Around the state capital, we take standing water out of homes and businesses across Travis, Williamson and Hays counties, in Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Leander, Hutto, Kyle, Buda and San Marcos. East of the Balcones Fault, clay soil shrinks in drought and swells when wet, and that movement can crack old rigid pipe under a floor.
Near the Gulf Coast, we take standing water out of homes and businesses across Harris County and in Katy, The Woodlands and Galveston.

Questions about water extraction and standing water
Plain answers about the work, the estimate and your insurance.
Can I start getting the water up myself before you come?
Yes, when it is tap water on a hard floor. Shut the water off, take photos, then mop up what you can reach. Stay out of water that came from a drain or from outside. If the wiring may be wet, stay out until an electrician says so.
Can my carpet be saved after it has been under water?
Often, yes. It depends on what kind of water it was and how long the carpet sat in it. Carpet wet from a broken supply line can often go back down over a dry pad. Carpet soaked by water from a drain or from outside often has to go.
Water got under my wood or vinyl plank floor. Can you get it out?
Yes, though some of the floor may have to come up first. Many plank floors float on top of the subfloor, and water that slips through the seams is trapped under them. Wood boards take water in from below and can cup at the edges.
The adjuster mentioned depreciation on my carpet. What does that mean?
Depreciation is the value a thing loses as it ages. An old carpet can count for less on paper than the cost to replace it. We explain ACV, RCV and depreciation in plain English. Your insurance company decides what your policy covers.
Does the free estimate commit me to water extraction or anything after it?
No. It is free, with no obligation. It lists water extraction, drying and any rebuild as separate lines, so you see the whole job before you decide. We handle the rebuild after water damage too.
